Well now is the chance for role reversal and for your soccer star(s) to support you !!!
As you will hopefully be aware from the February newsletter, Waipuna FC are keen to establish a Women's team for the Sunday's social league. So far we've approx 10 women keen to "Give it a go" and have fun playing soccer on Sunday afternoons ... BUT ...... to make it successful we need MORE !!!
We would like to have a team compliment of 20 so that we have reserves and are able to have a full team every game. You needn't have played soccer before (you'll pick it up quickly), you just need the enthusiasm to get out there and give it a go, even the fitness will come (and you'll be surprised how fast it picks up). We have a coach, so half the battle is won (and he's an AWESOME coach too.)
I've attached the registration form to this email, so if you're keen (or even mildly interested) please can you complete it and return to me so I can start the process of organising our team to join in the existing social league round robin. You can pay subs later, at this stage I just need to get numbers sorted so I know if we have enough to form a team (with reserves). Games are held usually Sunday afternoons, fortnightly, from about 2pm and would be local and slightly further afield (Te Puke to Omokoroa - so we'll organise carpooling too). I'm envisaging that on the alternative Sunday's (weather permitting) we can get together either at Waipuna or Tye Park, bring the family, have a kick around and maybe fire up a BBQ, but please do let me know your thoughts.
Also, if you know of any business that may be keen to help us with sponsorship for uniform shirts, please let me know.
